Part-Time Marketing Assistant (Independent Contractor Position)

Job Description

Click and Repeat is looking for a marketing assistant to assist the company’s owner with marketing-related tasks for approximately 8-10 hours a week. 

Responsibilities may include (but are not limited to) social media management, website design and development, administrative tasks including reporting, email marketing, copywriting, and more. The position may also require working with additional outside contractors. 

An ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously, and strong time management skills are critical to this role. We will train the right candidate on the specific tasks required for this position, however strong writing and design skills are required. 

The position will include paid opportunities for training to advance the individual’s understanding of marketing and improve their skills.

The Marketing Assistant will be Responsible for…

  • Coordinating podcast files with contractors and publishing via libsyn
  • Email marketing for Click and Repeat and for Click and Repeat clients
  • Website related tasks for Click and Repeat and for Click and Repeat clients, including assisting with building out client documentation, creating and setting up new development-only sites, URL mapping, SEO research, and more
  • Administrative tasks including data entry, data tracking, and reporting
  • User testing and proofreading
  • Support the company with planning, implementing, and monitoring marketing campaigns
  • Assist with the production of marketing materials and collateral
  • Help organize and coordinate online marketing efforts
  • Write and edit content for different platforms such as social media, website, and press releases, etc. 
  • Provide administrative and project support for a variety of marketing programs
  • And other tasks, as needed.

Requirements 

  • Blogging experience and be able to submit writing samples upon request
  • Familiar with Gsuite, including Google Drive, Docs, and Sheets
  • Experience and understanding of Facebook and/or Instagram for marketing purposes
  • Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Attention to detail and strong time management skills
  • A good internet connection and your own laptop computer

Desired Skills (“Nice to have”) 

  • The ideal candidate would be willing to work onsite for about 4 hours once a week; remaining hours can be done remotely. However, I’m now considering 100% remote candidates. 
  • Experience with WordPress
  • Experience with Indesign, Adobe Illustrator, or Photoshop
  • Any web design experience
  • 1-2 years experience in marketing
  • Degree in marketing, advertising or related field

Ideal candidates will also have a genuine interest in marketing for small businesses, website design, and at least some interest in positive dog training. 

Compensation

Starting at $20/hour, but dependent on experience and negotiable.
