What's it like to work with you?

Uh, awesome! Of course! (Ok, I may be a little biased).

But in all seriousness, my goal is to help you be successful. If we chat and I can’t help you — I’m going to tell you that. If I think you need a service I don’t offer? I’m going to recommend you to another expert. If we chat and I think I can help you grow your client base? I’m going to explain what I’d recommend.

I hate the idea that many marketers work in a black box — you hire them, and they do some mysterious voodoo behind a curtain and magically you see results (or, even worse, you don’t). I prefer to work with you, explain why I’m doing or recommending, why I expect it to work, and help you to eventually get to a point were you no longer need me. To put it in dog training terms… I’d rather teach you how to “train your own dog,” than “train your dog for you.”

But don’t get me wrong — I’m more than willing to jump in if there’s a problem and get things started or lay the foundation work; again, my goal is to help you be successful. Whatever that looks like for your business.

No worries. Marketing can be complex — it’s not always easy to figure out what you need to improve your bottom line…. which is why most businesses hire me in the first place!

If you’re not sure what you need, the best place to start is with a free 30-minute call. We’ll chat about where your business is now, and what your goals are; what you’ve tried, what’s worked (or hasn’t) and more. Together, we’ll figure out the best starting place to get your business growing.

Totally new? That’s okay too. I can share my best advice for where to start and we can go from there.

What do you charge?

Pricing for this kind of work tends to vary dramatically — but as a business owner it’s important that you know what a project will cost before we get started. The best way I’ve found to be transparent about pricing is to use a $75/hour base.

When you contact me about your project, I’ll ask you a ton of questions or ask to do a short call to get all the details from you. Then I’ll put together an estimate of what I think the project will take within a range. If you approve that price, but it winds up taking longer — that’s on me. If you make a request and I think it’ll mean the project will take more time, I’ll let you know.
